Birds of a Feather also brings you the pioneering DVD series filmed by Eelco Meyjes, Birdkeeping the South African way, the first specialist birdkeeping DVD series in the world . The 5 part series, which has value for all bird lovers and breeders, as well as pet bird owners, delves into the successful keeping and breeding of Finches, African Greys and the wide variety of Softbills.

In 2010 Birds of a Feather launched its second DVD documentary in the new THREATENED WITH EXTINCTION series titled : Searching for Shelley's finches amongst Africa's Mountain Gorillas. This documentary, which has already been widely acclaimed, tells the remarkable story of how the Rare Finch Conservation Group is overcoming enormous logistical and financial hurdles to try and save one of the rarest finches in Africa the Shelley's Crimsonwing finch ( Crypospiza shelleyi ) from possible extinction.
